Property Finance - South Africa
When you apply for property finance or a home loan, the banks will want to know quite a bit about you before allowing you to apply for residential property finance. Leapfrog has partnered with BetterBond, South Africa’s biggest mortgage originator, to assist with our clients’ property finance requirements. A BetterBond consultant will ask you a couple of questions and complete the application form on your behalf. All you need to do isprovide us with key information that will help the banks process your financing request and give an indication of your current credit record and ability to apply for a bond or loan.
If you are employed and on a fixed salary you will need to provide the following:
- Your most recent payslip
- Six months bank statements showing your salary credit
- A copy of your ID
If you are employed and earn commission then you will need to submit the following:
- Your last six months pay slips
- Bank statements for the last six months reflecting salary credit
- A copy of your ID
If you are self employed then you will need to provide us with the following:
- Your most recent financial statements
- A letter from a bookkeeper confirming your income
- Bank statements for the last six months of your business account
- Bank statements for the last six months of your personal account
- A copy of your ID
It's important to note that the above criteria are applicable to each applicant in his or her respective capacity. Bank statements must be branch stamped if collected from a branch, and internet bank statements cannot be used.
