The Leapfrog Property Group’s recently established franchise in Hermanus has added a new dimension to the Whale Coast residential property market by providing a single buying and selling platform for the entire spectrum of home ownership – from affordable housing to the top end of the luxury sector….and everything in between.
 
So successful has this ground-breaking formula been that, within the space of just three months after its launch in Hermanus, Leapfrog has opened a second office and doubled the size of its operating team in the town in order to sustain its growth in market share.
 
Leapfrog’s original office in Hermanus is run by co-principals Riaan van Zyl and Hillmar Ross. It was established in Onrusrivier in June, and has operated briskly since then. The second office, which has just opened its doors in the Marine Square complex in heart of the town’s CBD, is managed by the third co-principal of the franchise, Petros Dumse.
 
All three of the principals are not only long-standing citizens of Hermanus but are also representative of the key demographics of the local community.
 
This, coupled with the nationwide Leapfrog Group’s high level of BEE compliance and Black ownership, qualifies the Hermanus franchise to market homes in the Western Cape Government’s affordable community housing projects (also known as the ‘gap’ market) in the area, says Hillmar.
 
“This is a first for the real estate sector in Hermanus,” he adds.
