Prestige Christie’s Real Estate Brand Now in Gauteng
Posted: 31st August 2011
Ennik Estates, a new venture affiliated to the prestige worldwide Christie’s International Real Estate group, was launched in Johannesburg today (24 August 2011). Headed by Ronald Ennik, who has a long-standing reputation in South Africa as specialist marketer of distinctive homes in the upper price stratum, Ennik Estates (a member of the Leapfrog Property Group) is focused exclusively on the high end of the Gauteng residential property sector.
Exclusive to Gauteng, the Christie’s affiliation sets Ennik Estates aside in the line-up of estate agencies that cover the Gauteng market.“Not only that,” says Ronald, “the other key differentiating factor between us and the competition is that we are not a one-shoe-fits-all operation. This makes us the only real estate company in Gauteng focused exclusively on the luxury sector. “The only other Christie’s affiliation in South Africa is held by Greeff Properties in the Western Cape .
“Given that both local and foreign investors in luxury residential properties are generally focused on both the Johannesburg and Cape Town markets, there will be an inevitable cross-pollination between the two Christie’s affiliates,” says Ronald. He has many years of experience in bridging and dovetailing the distinctive characteristics and needs of the homes markets in the two cities.
“The initial operating footprint of Ennik Estates will consist of all the prime areas of Johannesburg, Sandton, Midrand, Randburg, and Pretoria, as well as the top properties in all the peripheral areas of Gauteng,” says Ronald.
He is supported by a top team that includes Paddy Murphy, an international award-winning agent who has come home to South Africa with 28 years of experience selling luxury real estate in sophisticated and upscale Washington DC and Northern Virginia – the highest per capita income area of the USA.
Also supporting him will be his partner in Ennik Estates, Jan le Roux, the founder of Leapfrog, and of the PA Group (now Bettergroup), under the umbrella of which the current mortgage originator Betterbond was subsequently launched and developed.
Established in 1995, Christie’s International Real Estate is owned by the world’s oldest fine art auction house, Christie’s, which first opened its doors in London in 1766.
Affiliation with Christie’s International Real Estate – the largest global network of marketers of prime and super-prime real estate – is by invitation only.
Composed of the world’s most proven and qualified real estate specialists in this market sector, the exclusive Christie’s real estate brand now operates across the USA, Europe, South America and the Caribbean, as well as in Asia, Oceana and, more recently, Africa.
